Our Journey
From Forest Battles to Fantasy Realms
Our story began on 12 enchanting acres in the forests of Oregon. Childhood days were filled with epic battles using padded swords made from electrical PVC pipes, insulation, and duct tape. Games of capture the flag, king of the hill, and elimination were our everyday adventures, often involving my five brothers, one sister, and friends from Boy Scouts, church, and school. These battles sometimes grew to 50 participants, sparking a lifelong love for fantasy worlds.
This passion was further fueled by reading classics like "The Lord of the Rings," "The Sword of Shannara," and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." It led to a deep love for tabletop gaming, including "Magic: The Gathering" and "Dungeons & Dragons," where my first character, Helak, was born. My journey into the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) saw me donning real armor and wielding a sword, immersing myself in medieval combat and camaraderie.
Likeable Loot was created from this enduring passion. Our goal is to not only offer quality products but to create an immersive experience for our customers. We want to share the joy of the fantasy realm, helping you forge new friendships and create beautiful, inspiring memories.
